Veterinary Job Opening at Orange Park Kennel Club
This is an opportunity for extra income from a part time job at the dog track. It is the perfect job for someone needing to earn money for student loans or for a retired veterinarian who wants to find a way to spend his/her time. The responsibilities consist of emergency care and bandaging of greyhounds injured on the track. The position pays $150.00 per five-hour shift at the track. There is a small room for the vet with cable television and a monitor to watch the races. For the most part, your time is your own and it can be weeks in between treating greyhounds. The times currently available are Wednesday Matinee (12 to 5 pm) and Thursday evening (6 to 11 pm). There are three other veterinarians presently working at the track so trading days and rearranging schedules is possible. A valid Florida license is required. Inquires can be made to Dr. Dwight Nash, San Jose-Beauclerc Veterinary Hospital, 733-5022 or dogdoc1@comcast.net.
